Alexa Skills: Get Flight Status

I know…this seems like a skill that should have been available on day one, but thanks to the makers at SMN Apps, we now have a great solution for travelers.

A new Alexa skill called, simply, Flight Tracker, provides Alexa users with the status of specific flights. It currently works with Alaska Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United, but more are on the way.

You can ask things like…

“Alexa, ask Flight Tracker for United 262”
“Alexa, ask Flight Tracker for flight status for Delta flight number 15”
“Alexa, ask Flight Tracker for status for Alaska 1”

Combine this skill with the Airport Security Wait Line Wait Times and you have a good start to a valuable traveler toolset.
