Alexa Skills: Connecting Alexa to Wunderlist

Amazon, of course, provides its own list app for Alexa. You can add things to the built-in “Shopping List” or “To-do” list. As with most things, the integrated versions aren’t always the best, or don’t provide integration with things people are already using. For example, the best shopping list app with Alexa integration is OurGroceries and one of the more popular list apps is Wunderlist. Microsoft acquired Wunderlist in July of 2015, but the service has remained a top list app.

Amazon has listened to customer feedback for integration for email services and added and Office 365 recently, but integration in other areas has been slow.

Now, finally, there’s a Wunderlist skill for Alexa!  Its not a true integrated feature of Alexa, but instead a third-party developed skill called Wunder Link.

Once enabled and linked to your Wunderlist account, you can use the skill to report tasks and even add new ones. You can say things like…

  • “Alexa, ask Wunder Link what’s in my inbox?”
  • “Alexa, ask Wunder Link what tasks are overdue?”
  • “Alexa, ask Wunder Link to remind me to buy flowers for mother’s day”

You can find the Wunder Link skill in the Alexa app or use THIS LINK.
