Each week, we take a look at new and important Alexa skills you might want to consider enabling for your Alexa device. Amazon continues to improve Alexa with its own updates, but skills are software components that allow Alexa users to extend functionality across all Alexa-enabled devices in use for very specific functions.

This week’s skill: Quiz Maker

Description: Make your own multiple-choice Alexa quiz. Visit the accompanying web site to set up your quiz, then play along on your Alexa device.

Real world use: It was tough making a selection this week. Some weeks its tough to pick from a large selection of awesome skills – this week it was tough just finding one that was meaningful. But, one did eventually standout. And, that is the Quiz Maker.

Quiz Maker has an accompanying web site ( where you create your own quizzes that can then be managed by Alexa. Each quiz must have at least 5 questions and you must supply at least three incorrect answers (though you can supply as many as you want). Each time you play, the questions will be asked in different order.
