Alexa Skill of the Week: Path of Discovery: Europa

Each week, we take a look at new and important Alexa skills you might want to consider enabling for your Alexa device. Amazon continues to improve Alexa with its own updates, but skills are software components that allow Alexa users to extend functionality across all Alexa-enabled devices in use for very specific functions.

Alexa is available for Amazon devices Echo, Echo 2, Dot, Tap, Echo Spot, Echo Plus, Echo Show, Echo Look, Echo Connect, Dash Wand, Fire tablets, and Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Edition TVs, in the Music app, but also on iOS, Android, and the web with Reverb.ai.

This week’s skill: Path of Discovery: Europa

Description: Play the role of chief scientist on an international space station in this atmospheric, choice-based Sci-Fi game with thriller elements. Explore distant planets and immerse yourself in the mind-bending science fiction trip around our Solar system.

Real world use: There have been a bunch of mystery-type Alexa game skills published in the skills store, but this one could be one of the most expansive available. Additionally, who doesn’t love a good Sci-Fi/Horror story?  This particular game skill has different paths and a multitude of options that affect the outcome of the story. Additionally, this plays well for both audio-only (Echo, Dot) and screen-enabled (Echo Show) devices.

Where to get it: You can locate Our Groceries Skill in the Amazon Alexa app, enable it using your voice, or use the following web link: Path of Discovery: Europa
