Just a few days ago, Amazon silently rolled out a new feature that allow Alexa customers to string voice commands together without having to say the Wake Word each time. This is yet another customer ask that Amazon has supplied. The company has been really great about listening to customer wants and requests and focusing on these as a way to improve its voice service.
The feature works great – for most. Some have discovered that the feature does not work for them and after testing, the result is that this feature does not work for those that have an Echo Dot connected to an external speaker over Bluetooth. For whatever reason (possibly due to the connection’s delay variance) it just doesn’t work in this setup.
Amazon is aware and is looking into it.
