Amazon recently delivered on its promise to provide calling and messaging features for its Alexa devices. The capability provides huge value that ensures Amazon’s leadership in the voice AI space for some time to come.
But, while the initial calling and messaging offering works well, there are specific features that are not currently supported. These features remain customers requests, but Amazon has yet to deliver.
Those currently unsupported features are:
- Call waiting
- Transferring calls between devices
- Placing calls on hold
- Leaving voicemails (though you can send voice messages)
- Three-way calling
