Voice-enabled AI is the new platform, interface, and computing environment. Many thought it would be VR or partial-VR, but its becoming evident that unless a company has a voice-enabled offering, that product, service, or company will be left behind. Remember when it was rare to have a web site and then all of sudden you weren’t a real business unless you had one? Its getting to that level now with voice – in particular, if a company or product doesn’t have an Alexa skill, that company or product isn’t viable. It isn’t quite that bad yet, but its getting close.
ADT is the latest to deliver an Alexa skill. ADT, of course, is the security service that serves a lot of consumer and business location with its 24-hour protection technology. And, now with the latest Alexa skill, customers can monitor and control their service using voice.
With the ADT Pulse Skill, you can manage your security with your voice to help keep your family and home safer. Ask Alexa to tell ADT to arm or disarm your system, lock and unlock your doors, control your garage door, and turn lights on and off. Alexa can even provide you with the status of your security system, tell you whether your garage is open, and if you left the hall light on. To use the optional security features like disarming, unlocking, and opening the garage door, just provide Alexa with your unique verbal PIN.

The skill only works with the ADT pulse system.
Where to get it: You can locate the ADT Pulse Skill in the Amazon Alexa app, enable it using your voice, or use the following web link: ADT Pulse
Alexa is available for Amazon devices Echo, Dot, Tap, Fire tablets, and Fire TV, but also on iOS, Android, and the web with Reverb.ai.
