Add Pop-up Exclusions to Microsoft Edge

There will be instances when you actually want pop-ups on a specific web site. This SMS Installer script prompts for a domain and then adds your entry to the list of allowed sites. Currently, Microsoft Edge has no mechanism built into it to manage this list.

The actual registry key for this list located at:  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\New Windows\Allow

Here’s a quick SMS Installer script you can pretty-up to allow you to quickly add new allowed websites: Add Pop-up Exclusions to Microsoft Edge (1.1k)

Richard Hay over at the Supersite has a nice write-up about the Microsoft Edge user management limitations: How to manage sites allowed to serve pop-ups in Microsoft Edge

P.S. It’s awesome that SMS Installer still works in Windows 10.
