MSI File for Surface Pro 3 Update Now Available on the Download Center

As noted earlier today, overnight Microsoft delivered an update for its Surface Pro 3 – providing new enhancements to the Intel graphics driver which should lead to better Miracast performance. The MSI file is now available from the Microsoft Download Center, so IT administrators can build their standard images. Wake on LAN Comes to Surface Devices

Microsoft recently uploaded SurfaceWOL.msi to the Surface Tools for IT download page. Using this new package, Surface customers can enable Wake on LAN (WOL) from Connected Standby. The devices must have Windows 10 Anniversary Edition or newer installed and have a wired connection. NOTE: Installing this package will replace the driver included with Windows 10 for Surface wired Ethernet adapters, including the Surface Ethernet Adapter, Surface Dock, and Surface Pro 3 Docking Station or Surface 3 Docking Station. Last Day to Request January 2017’s Free ConfigMgr Report

Today’s the last day to request January 2017’s free ConfigMgr report Count of Roles and Features by Collection! Make sure to request your copy of this month’s free report by using your business address and emailing Info AT Enhansoft today! The Count of Roles and Features by Collection report will provide you with the names of each role and feature installed on a Windows Server computer, along with the total number of installs for a given collection. This information is useful to know in order to help you inventory or secure each role and feature. For example, this report will help you identify all servers with Web Servers (IIS) installed. Once located these servers can be secured. Stay tuned because later this week we will announce February’s free SCCM report!
