Amazon has quietly updated a support page on its site indicating that it is discontinuing the ability for customers to upload and store music on its servers. Some customers have received emails alerting about the service discontinuation – but some have not.
Important pieces for the Free Storage plan:
The Amazon Music Storage subscription plans (free and paid) are being retired. New subscriptions will be accepted until January 15, 2018. You can upgrade your Amazon Music storage plan, until that time.
As of December 18, 2017, the ability to upload music will be removed from the Amazon Music for PC/Mac app.
Music that is already uploaded can be played and downloaded until January 2019.
