Microsoft recently enabled shared calendars for families for its Outlook.com service. So, if you use Outlook.com as your email and calendar and also take part in Microsoft’s Family services, you can schedule items that will be accessible for everyone in your family. And, since Alexa already supports Outlook.com for calendar services, the new Family calendar is already available to choose as a default calendar for Alexa.
To make the Outlook.com Family calendar as the default, open the Alexa app (or on the web at http://alexa.amazon.com) and go to Settings – Calendar.
In the Alexa will add new events to this calendar: area, choose Microsoft: Family Calendar from the dropdown list.
Note that currently, you can only configure a single default calendar for Alexa. In the future, Amazon should enable both voice recognition and also multiple calendar access.
Now, whenever you ask Alexa about your day or add items to the calendar using voice commands, your family’s shared calendar will be used.
