Microsoft recently announced that OneNote is now a free application for everyone, on just about all platforms. Part of the announcement, Microsoft also introduced some add-ons and new features for OneNote. One of the new features is integration with IFTTT (If This Then That).
Using IFTTT, we’ve created a special recipe everyone can use to automate pulling myITforum articles directly into OneNote, effectively using OneNote as a better “Read it Later” application than Microsoft currently provides.
The IFTTT recipe is located here: https://ifttt.com/recipes/155175-latest-articles-from-myitforum-com
To get it to work, you’ll need an IFTTT user account. Once you have that, just follow these instructions for setting up IFTTT to work with OneNote.
The IFTTT recipe captures the article URL and a snapshot of the actual article page so you can either jump back to myITforum or just read the full content in OneNote. When the IFTTT recipe runs it stores the articles in the QuickNotes notebook in OneNote.
