You may have read that Hyper-V comes with Windows 8, but you’ve had a tough time trying to find it. By default, Hyper-V is not enabled for Windows 8′s optional features, but you can enable it quickly.
Do this…
1. With the Start screen showing, just start typing this: optionalfeatures.exe
2. Hit Enter and the Windows Features utility executes.
3. Put a checkmark in the box beside Hyper-V and click OK.
After a bit of thinking, locating files, and installation, Windows 8 will place your new Hyper-V tools on the Windows 8 Start screen.
