While I’ve found no way to actively browse the Microsoft Store apps in a web browser the same way can in the Windows 8 Store app, you can access specific products using a link that you “share” from the store. This way you can share apps with other people, or even share the link with yourself for later review somewhere else.
The Microsoft Store seems like the infant in the online store family, with many features needed. For example, Google Play allows you to browse apps in any Internet browser and even select to install apps on any of your registered devices directly from the web version of the store. Sadly, the Microsoft Store doesn’t offer this.
To get the web link to share with someone or yourself, do this:
1. Open the Windows 8 Store app.
2. Navigate to the App you want to share.
3. Choose the Share component in Windows 8.
4. Select how you want to share. In this case, I’m sharing using the email app.
The email received is nicely formatted and includes the app link which can be accessed in any web browser.
In this case, I shared the Netflix app, which is located here: http://apps.microsoft.com/webpdp/app/d8d75bb2-c5cd-44f2-8c26-c1d1ae5b13fa
