Gartner has released a paper to weigh in about System Center Configuration Manager 2012. The paper, about 5 pages, talks about the product’s features and improvements, but also indicates that ConfigMgr 2012 falls short of glorious. It says that if your company requires a “good enough” solution for non-Windows support, ConfigMgr 2012 is great. But, if your company requires best-of-breed capabilities, you’ll still need to use alternate (3rd party) managemen tools for (at least) the next three years.
