This one seemed to miss the radar of just about everyone, but in a post Microsoft has answered the support questions concerning Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, and which versions of ConfigMgr and Endpoint Protection are supported.
Short answer:
1. We are adding support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 in both System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1 and Configuration Manager 2007 with SP2 (includes Configuration Manager 2007 R2 and Configuration Manager 2007 R3). This support and any required updates will be available in the same timeframe as System Center 2012 SP1 in early 2013.
2. We are adding support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 in both System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection Service Pack 1 and Forefront Endpoint Protection (FEP) 2010 with Update Rollup 1. This support and any required updates will be available in the same timeframe as System Center 2012 SP1 in early 2013.
