So, here’s how this goes…
Microsoft will kick-off Launch Week on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012 and when that happens a special Launch website (www.windows-server-launch.com) will be unveiled. During the first day of Launch, you’ll be able to enjoy keynotes from many areas within Microsoft that benefit from the new features and functions of Windows Server 2012, including infrastructure, datacenter, cloud, systems management, modern platforms (Azure), VDI, MDM, and others.
Also, right at launch (8am US PST) you’ll be able to start posting any questions you have about the new server OS directly onto the Launch website. Post any lingering questions you have from reading or hearing about Windows Server 2012 before the launch, or any questions that arise while you watch the Launch keynotes. As the week moves on, we’ll have a team of people capturing and organizing your questions. Then, on Thursday, September 6th, 2012, get ready for a monumental first. We will be taking your submitted questions, AND questions you can post LIVE over Twitter during the day, and we will host 3 separate sessions of “Ask the Experts” (9am, 1pm, and 5pm PST), streaming live over the web from Microsoft studios. Each time slot will offer a different topic focus, but if you can’t make one, that’s OK — the replay will be available soon after.
Pretty neat stuff and we’re admittedly wowed by the opportunity to help usher in the next evolution in modern operating systems. And, of course, we’ll be blogging and tweeting live from Redmond.
Full info will be available once the Launch website goes live, but you can be reminded of the big event week by clicking over to here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/new.aspx
We look forward to hearing from you during Launch Week! Send in your questions and feel free to put “something special” in them so we know immediately who they’re from.
