Can you remember where you were on this day, 17 years ago? If you were not in diapers, and were in the IT industry, this one will take you back. 17 years ago today, Microsoft released Windows 95. A regular DOS user and sometimes Windows user, I remember what a huge breakthrough Windows 95 was. I remember how totally in awe I was with how well multitasking worked specifically with video running in it’s own window while I clicked around in different applications. And, then there was whole Mick Jagger “Start Me Up” theme.
A week later, I was back to playing simple, old Solitaire.
Windows 95 really did change everything. Could Windows 8 do the same?
Happy Birthday, Windows 95!
