Community Solution: Fixing a BDP that is stuck on “Install Pending”

adjolley had an issue where a BDP was stuck on “Install Pending” for a specific package:

Issue

I have a BDP that is stuck on “Install Pending” for a specific package. I’ve checked BITS jobs, and there are none listed. This BDP has been able to grab other packages, just not this one. Other BDPs have successfully downloaded this package.

I’ve tried removing this BDP from the package’s distribution points and re-adding it, but no luck

Fix

Update: I fixed it. I removed the BDP from the package’s distribution points, then did a policy dl and apply, then did a branch dp maintenance, then re-added the package.
