Global Service Monitor is an add-on to System Center 2012 Operations Manager that provides the ability to monitor the availability of your web applications and services from Microsoft provided global Points of Presence (POPs). Global Service Monitor provides “cloud agents” (managed by Microsoft) that are used to test your applications and to see how they look from an external perspective, so you can get a feel for how the end user experience is represented.
To install Global Service Monitor, you can use either a SCOM 2012 RTM installation, or the Beta release of SP1. Note that the Customer Preview is not supported in production.
