Go mobile at TechEd Europe 2012

TechEd 2012 saw a few options available for folks utilizing conference services over mobile devices, but in the end the mobile web site was the best option  TechEd Europe is a bit different from the mobile perspective and, frankly, I think I like their option a LOT better.

TechEd Europe is utilizing and promoting EventBoard.  EventBoard is one app that works on Windows Phone 7, iPhone, and Android and allows you to download conference details.  The Windows Phone 7 version syncs with your TechEd Europe account as long as you use the same login.  

With EventBoard you can do the following:

  • Search and browse sessions and speakers on the go, even  without a connection
  • Receive notifications for sessions changes and updates
  • View the full conference floor plan on your device
  • Scout out all the sponsors, partners, and exhibitors you’ll find in the TechExpo
  • Complete your session evaluations

EventBoard could become the standard app for many events, as there are quite a few upcoming conferences already in the app list, and I hope it does.  You simply find the conference or event and click on it to download the conference details:

Incidentally, I’m running the app on both my Android phone and my Android tablet.  Both work great!
