During the Windows Phone 8 press conference today, Microsoft promoted many things, but the one thing that is most important to readers of myITforum, and I’m sure will receive a huge amount of praise, is the “Enterprise Ready” features announced.
These features have long been on the wish list of many Enterprises – not for Windows Phone, but for mobile devices, in general. Windows Phone 8 will only be available for new devices, however, devices running Windows Phone 7.5 will receive an over-the-air update to 7.8 to include many of the announced features.
In addition to the features shown below (security, app distribution, and integration with current software management systems), Windows Phone 8 will bring the Company Hub feature (corporate app store to bypass Marketplace), Microsoft Office, and even a Microsoft IT app.
