NEXThink was a sponsor of the myITforum.com party at MMS 2012, but unless you stopped by their booth in the Expo, you may have missed exactly what their solution does. I have sat through the demos for the product and have been utterly amazed. Some folks use things like log file utilities to capture information about the ConfigMgr environment, others use Operations Manager to alert and report on issues or potential issues. But, these two pieces still leave a lot to be desired if you want to be completely proactive.
The NEXThink plug-in provides ACTUAL real-time monitoring and information about your CM2012 environment. Seriously. This solution beats even Operations Manager, hands-down.
And, as you’ll hear in the demo below, NEXThink is developing a similar plug-in for Operations Manager. A plug-in like this will make Operations Manager do so much more and turn it into a true monitoring and alerting solution.
