myITforum Interview Series: NEXThink with Dwain Kinghorn

We were recently able to have a sit-down chat over the telephone with Dwain Kinghorn about an exciting product from NEXThink that provides real-time (and I do mean real-time) monitoring for your Configuration Manager environment.  For the longest time folks have deemed ConfigMgr as “slow moving software” based on the old SMS acronym.  Getting details on deployments or client availability took a long time.  A few months ago I sat through a couple demos for the NEXThink connector for ConfigMgr and was immediately “wowed” by, not only the value, but the sheer ability for the solution to produce real-time information about just about everything in the ConfigMgr infrastructure.

Martin Thompson recently wrote up some information on the NEXThink connector and was also in awe enough to call his post: “Inventory on Steroids”.  Check it out when you get a chance.  Also, check out the primary pages for the NEXThink connector:  http://doc.nexthink.com/doc/3.2.4/WorkingWithNEXThinkForSCCM/NEXThinkConsole

Incidentally, NEXThink will not only be at MMS 2012 in booth #142, but they are a myITforum Party sponsor this year!
