Share your scripts, queries, reports, MOFs and be notified when others do

You probably already know that you can get site updates, per area, using the area’s specific RSS feed, but, did you know you can also be notified through email when new scripts, queries, reports, and MOFs are uploaded to myITforum.com?
Get email notifications for uploads
Logged in to the site with your myITforum.com account (you can’t use this site function without an account), become a member of the specific Community Group. You can do this with ANY Community Group on the site, but since we’re talking about scripts, queries, reports, and MOFs, here are the Community Group locations for those:
Next, click the “Get email updates” link on the Community Group page.
Now, set your notification preferences:
With this configured, you’ll receive an email notification anytime something is uploaded to the Community Group download area.
Specific download areas can always be found in the site’s main menu under the Downloads heading that links to this:
http://myitforum.com/myitforumwp/downloads/
Incidentally, using your myITforum account, you can also upload and share your own scripts, queries, reports, and MOFs with the greater community using the “Upload a New Document” link on each download page.
Sharing with the community
Drop out to any Community Group downloads page and click the “Upload a New Document” at the bottom of the downloads page.
You’ll then be presented with a new option to Choose a File, give the upload a title and description, and assign it a category.
Hit the Submit button and your upload is immediately added to the list and those with notifications set will receive an email.
P.S. We’re working on a method to add this to the ConfigMgr (2007 and 2012) console as a right-click option so that you can share with the community straight from the console! Stay tuned!
