We took a little hiatus on MMS 2012 news during the holidays, and so did the folks organizing MMS 2012. So, welcome to our first week in MMS 2012 news for 2012!
Before we throw out the past week’s links so you can catch up, there’s a little bit of commentary to be made, based on some thoughts being thrown around the community.
Session List? Yes. MMS organization is moving s-l-l-o-o-w-w-l-l-y-y (slowly). This happens every year, though, so nothing new. One of the bigger comments/complaints so far is that it seems strange that the Early Bird deal (saves you $275 off the conference or conference and hotel price) ends January 27th yet there is still no session list! Yes…this is a bit strange, but talking with the MMS folks this week, they are certainly hustling after the holidays to get everything together. Look for a session list very soon as the topic submission actually ended yesterday! If you haven’t heard if your submitted topic was selected or not, just hold on a bit longer.
Numbers. There’s a rumor that Microsoft is expecting around 5,000 people this year for MMS 2012! That’s fantastic! That would be an increased headcount of 1,000 attendees over last year. The conference just continues to grow. Here’s a bit of trivia: Who remembers when the conference was a myITforum conference?
So…here’s what happened this past week. Note that the last two items are actually special MMS 2012 collateral that you can download and use!
