ConfigMgr 2012 release date slips to first half of 2012

Per @sam1310 on Twitter, Wally has confirmed (to him, at least) that ConfigMgr 2012 will not release until the first half of 2012.

    I thought this was public knowledge. The expectation is a MMS release or very shortly thereafter.

    I think the issue is that it was communicated a couple weeks back but then retracted pretty quickly, specifically to partners. So, there’s been a bit if confusion around it.

    All we can say is that general availability is now the first half of calendar year 2012. With that, does it really matter when RTM is?

    We’re working to align availability of all System Center 2012 products at the same time.
