Application Compatibility or Application Modeling?

App-DNA has another excellent post up.  I actually received an email from AppDNA to tell me that the post was “sexy”.  I’ll let you decide.

Application compatibility may no longer be the conversation topic at your next party – application modeling is much sexier, right? I guess that really depends on who you are. If you are a hardcore packaging nerd or a sys admin in charge of managing application deployments in an enterprise, application modeling has “wheelhouse” written all over it. Application compatibility, not so much. Allow me to explain…

App-DNA has had the opportunity to work with over 300 enterprises globally to help them understand desktop transformations. It could be something as “simple” as Windows 7, Or, as complex as a VDI implementation with a gazillion moving parts (note: this is a real number that a customer has shared with me – he might be part of the US debt-crisis SWAT team). Inevitably, regardless of the complexity, one question always seems to weigh heavily in the planning process: how do I get my applications to my end users?
