  • Having problems printing while running IE7?

I’ve seen this issue brought up in numerous areas and threads. Microsoft now has a KB article and a HotFix for it… http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931657 BTW: If you can wait a bit, the fix will also be included in an upcoming IE7 roll-up.

  • Adobe's SVG browser plug-in doesn't work with Firefox 2.0

The plug-in from Adobe ( http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install/main.html ) which allows us to view our stats on myITforum.com, doesn’t work with Firefox 2.0. I wonder if there’s a 3rd party plug-in out there. If you know of one, let me know…otherwise I’ll keep looking. For...

  • Another Firefox oddity - the scroll wheel

I just noticed something else that seems to work strangely within Firefox: the scroll wheel on my mouse. I love the scroll wheel and count it as one of the greatest inventions of our time. In IE7, it works like I’m used to. It’s quick and responsive. In Firefox, the scroll wheel moves the...

  • Firefox and tabs

With Firefox being the innovator in tabbed browsing, you would think they would do it better. But, they don’t. In IE7, an open, ready tab sits atop the browser window and all you need to do to open the new tab is click once on it. In Firefox, you have to first go into Tools-Options-Tabs, enable...

  • The Firefox "Favorites" dilemma

Firefox has a nice clean interface — very streamlined. But, I can’t get over the fact that access to Favorites is so antiquated. I think the Firefox folks forgot about this function of the browser. IE7 has a neat toolbar button where you can quickly access and switch between Favorites, RSS...

  • Funny stuff...

I was just talking with my oldest son. I told him that Firefox 2.0 was released today. He looks at me like, “so what”. Ah, to be young. No cares in the world. He simply turns his computer on and does what he wants, with what is already on the computer (IE6, I might add). He doesn’t...

  • I just set Firefox as my default browser

The option to change the default browser to Firefox is a simple one. It’s on the Tools-Options Main screen at the bottom. Interestingly, the action to change the default browser in Firefox took longer than I thought it would. What should have been a quick BAM, was, in reality, a short booooooommmm...
