Hmmm...Office 2007 SP1 still had to go through the download...
That seems like a waste of time to me, since I already installed SP1 manually yesterday. Windows Update sensed that SP1 was already installed , but only after it had downloaded the service pack into the Windows Update cache.

Applied Office 2007 SP1 yesterday...yet...
Windows Update tells me I still need to apply it. Strange. I’ll let Windows Update install it for me to see what happens. Hopefully, it recognizes that I installed it manually. Otherwise, it’ll be installing again, I guess.

Office 2007 SP1 installed...
What’s next? Time to test it out. Hopefully, Outlook is a little more responsive. That’s the only app I really have issues with. No reboot required, btw. Of course, I did shut down all Office apps prior to installing.

Installing Office 2007 SP1 now...
I can see that Microsoft has gotten smarter. No longer is there a percentage amount on the progress bar for installations. Just a pulsating progress bar that only seems to move when you look away and look back.
