With the SATA AHCI mode enabled in BIOS special steps are required to make XP CDx, SYSPREP, RIS, UNATTENDED installs and WinPE work properly. If you are in a pinch and need to build an image like you always did in the past then you can disable AHCI mode in the BIOS, build the image and then add the drivers for SATA AHCI, reboot enable AHCI mode in the BIOS and you’re good to go.
