I've recently had a chance to work with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 SQL Reporting Services Reporting; which is new with the ConfigMgr R2 release.
First impressions are quite positive, with reporting being taken to a new level of robustness. Before proceeding, you'll need to install SQL Server Reporting Services on SQL Server.
The installation steps on ConfigMgr are fairly straightforward.
SCCM 2007 R2 SSRS is a new Site Role.
First we select the role:
Choose a Report Folder Name, it will default to 'ConfigMgr_<site code>':
Summary screen is presented:
Open the SCCM 2007 MMC, under the Reporting Node, you should see the Reporting Service node contain information detailing your installation location.
