Do you remember the Amiga? Are you a fan from the days of old? Well now that you have a job you can afford one, and next week you will find out when you can buy one! If you've still got any amount of fondness for the Amiga brand in you, you'll be happy to hear that the old-timey PC maker is planning on releasing two brand- spanking-new PCs next week. Amiga's still using the PowerPC architecture, which makes it unlikely that you're going to be running Windows Vista on it natively....

Or maybe it is just 1,000 PPM? It is Sunday, or more commonly referred to as Football day, at least at my house. Of course that pesky church thing gets in the way. Maybe I should donate some equipment to allow them to stream and then I could PIP it! Printing on demand gets really closer to reality. Intel is releasing the Quad core server processors earlier than expected! These processors were due out early next year and instead will be available in Q4 of this year. The FSB of these are smoking at a full 1066MHz and have 8MB of L2 cache, that means you could have quad processors with 8MB of L2 cache and the 4MB for each core is shared. They come in speeds of 1.6, 1.86, 2.33 and 2.66GHz. AMD better hurry up and do something before we forget they even make processors! Original source: Quad-Core...

A long time ago I learned some very important rules of email, which also apply to blogging. Never, ever, ever, think that anything you write will not be read by your manager, director, head of HR, CIO, President, CEO, Board, wife, friends, customers, future customers, future hiring manager (Hello again!), children, those who don’t care for you, peers, NSA - you get the idea. Also never assume that what you write or say will be perceived as you think it should, or repeated in context. And finally...

I don’t get much in the way of spam at my gmail accounts but I get ~10 a day on average. They do pretty good at filtering and only a few spam emails end up in my Inbox and only a couple real emails have ended up in my spam folder. But this feature is not a single click, they ask for confirmation, that’s two clicks. I can just as easy click the All, Delete forever, since I get so few. I could also just have Google purge the emails as they expire after 30 days. I have mentioned this before and I think...

I would really like to get the Motorola Q, it is ideal for me, minus the price. This video is of the Motorola Q in action and the user connects to his SlingBox using the mobile application and watches live TV, changes channels, and watches a prerecorded movie. I have seen Orb and it does the same thing but it is free. Check out the video here. TechEBlog » (Video) SlingBox Mobile on the Motorola Q

I would not mind getting this phone! I hate having to carry two phones. I am still thinking about getting that T-Mobile SDA phone for $50. T-Mobile is now shipping what Samsung calls the thinnest candy bar cellphone available in the US, the t509, which is just 9.8 mm thick. It has a 1.9-inch 176x220 display, EDGE and Bluetooth connectivity, and can record/capture video. Now this is one tiny phone. At 4.6" x 1.8" x 0.39" and weighing 2.5 ounces, it goes a long way toward proving that old adage that...

If you can’t make the party then you can come for some cake in Hall E say noonish, it’s free, well free to you, my good friend Bill Gates...

I woke up this morning to that wonderful sound of Chinese water torture. My gutters need to be cleaned so when it rains the water doesn’t just flow down the spout, it actually thuds on the bottom. So I get up and wander into the living room, look out on to the patio and it is covered. It has been raining here since the beginning of March, while I know that is normal for most of the US, I live in a desert, deserts are not defined by temperature, but annual rainfall. But it has been cold too! So looking...
