I got a question today regarding the ability of pkgmgr to uninstall a package. I think everyone knows that you can add packages with WAIK in the latest version but you can also remove or update packages as well as the built in Windows features. If you want to remove a package from a Vista image (WIM) you can use pkgmgr.exe to accomplish this in a couple ways. start /w pkgmgr.exe /up /m:c:\packages where /m: is used to specify the folder and path to your packages. start /w pkgmgr.exe /up /p:"package...

Let me first say Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful Mothers out there hopefully you are having/had a superb Mothers Day!!! Today is Mothers Day in the US if you hadn't guessed. This is just amazing, this is the third time today that I have found someone already had a solution to a question I was asked just this last week. This download contains four files, the getting_started_itpro.rtf, readme_WAIK.rtf, unattend.chm, and waik.chm. In the Getting Started guide, they cover the “end-to-end deployment scenario”, which includes building a lab, building an answer file (unattend.xml), building a master installation (reference computer), creating and deploying an image. The readme has more updates to the getting started guide, and covers known issues. The readme will be updated with newly discovered issues and published here...
