MMS 2007 - Day 2 - Keynote Speech

Rodney Sherwood starts off the keynote again this year with this comedy and a video of interviewing the stars at MMS. Senior VP Server and Tools, Bob Muglia was the keynote speaker. He started out with the Dynamic Systems Initiative (DSI). One part of the DSI is Virtualized infrastructure which consists of Virtual Server 2005 R2 and SoftGrid. MMS 2007 - Day 1 - MMS 2008 Dates and Location and Party Details

Now that registration has been open for a few hours I can divulge some more details that I couldn't yesterday. Over the last few months there has been a number of debates on where MMS 2008 will be, which location is better. I personally like San Diego. But it looks like I will be spending my next birthday in Las Vegas , MMS 2008 is going to be there from April 28th - May 2nd . Someone has even parked the mms2008.com web site with GoDaddy already. SCOM Goes RTM

Operations Manager 2007 is RTM! Sources within Microsoft tell me that the final code on System Center Operations Manager 2007 was signed off last night. The golden and final code, also known as RTM (Released to Manufacturing) will probably be available for RDP and TAP customers in the coming days. General availability should be in the coming weeks. Expect a big announcement at the upcoming Microsoft Management Summit ! System Center and Intel

I have been kind of surprised by the lack of announcements this year before MMS, it seems like there was a flood of info last year, but this sounds very exciting! This morning Intel is announcing comprehensive support for System Center . This support encompasses SMS 2003 R2, Operations Manager, and System Center Essentials. We will be announcing at MMS further support in SCCM 2007.
