Here are some of my notes from my testing and data gathering, touched up a little for readability.  This discusses some (more)of the options of setting up your sequencing workstation and some of the pitfalls to try and avoid.

If you don't use OneNote you are missing out!

Exclusions - Why would you want to exclude something? Well by default cookies, Internet cache directories, history, etc are not monitored for changes, you can remove these exclusions if you are going to need changes to these folders. The exclusions are stored in your project file (SPRJ) so that you can use them during an upgrade or view them during troubleshooting.

It is important to remember your sequencing system should be pristine, do not run a screen saver, do not browse the Internet, do not open folders while you are sequencing an app, make sure that you have set the option to open folders in a separate process, imagine you are setting your computer up for the CEO or President of your company, and that you like him or her and want make sure that the computer is flawless when they get it, that is how you should treat your sequencing system, if you don't you will have problems down the road.

The next post will cover the actual sequencing process so stay tuned.  It's amazing how much you can get done when you don't have a job to worry about, no calls, no emails, no fires...maybe I will just stay on vacation....hmm....

Regards,

Anthony
