During day one it is mostly Hands on Lab (HOL), and the Expo floor opens.  I was at the myITforum.com booth when the Expo opened and I have to say it was a mad dash to get the buttons for the party.  We actually had conference staff that came over and were very concerned about the crowd and how our neighbors might be impacted.  Rod talked to them and smoothed it all out.  In less than 12 minutes we gave away all the buttons, after Microsoft saw the draw to the booth they decided to give us their 60 buttons to give out and two more XBox's.  Tonight at 8:05 they gave away the first XBox, I wasn't there to see who won but congratulations!  The crowd that was waiting to get a button to get into the party was massive, it was like a new Vegas casino opening.  Please don't forget to thank the sponsors of the myITforum.com party by visiting their booths, 1E and Microsoft.

Here are some photos of the crowd waiting outside the myITforum.com booth - amazing!

I have to say I am always amazed at the feedback and the support I get from people who I have never met regarding my blog.  It is great to know that the effort I put into this is helpful to so many people!  I am humbled and inspired to hear from everyone, not just people who visit my blog but those who I get direct email or IM's from asking for advice or help and I honestly love helping.  So if you see me please don't hesitate to stop me and ask me a question or just tell me what you like about the blog or don't like, would like to see more of, trust me I am very good at taking criticism.

It is also amazing to see how well Megan and Rod Trent pull things together they spend a tremendous amount of energy promoting and building the community.

If you stopped by the booth tonight you may want to come back again, Rod has completed the new version of the myITforum.com site and is looking for feedback.  It is very much improved and he has put a ton of work into it.

If you are an attendee you can begin downloading the lab manuals from the site, go here.

Regards,

Anthony
