Now that registration has been open for a few hours I can divulge some more details that I couldn't yesterday.

Over the last few months there has been a number of debates on where MMS 2008 will be, which location is better.  I personally like San Diego.  But it looks like I will be spending my next birthday in Las Vegas, MMS 2008 is going to be there from April 28th - May 2nd.  Someone has even parked the mms2008.com web site with GoDaddy already.

Closing Party Details

The closing party this year is a block party in the Gaslamp Quarter.  (Located between Fifth and J).  The band is Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers which is a swing and jazz band.  Several restaurants are participating in the block party. 

• Rockin' Baja Lobster - Serves Mexican style food. (Yahoo! Travel)
• Masala - Serves Indian cuisine.
• Acqua al 2 - Florentine style.
• Gaslamp Strip Club - This is not a strip club it is grill your own strip steak restaurant.
• ***'s Last Resort - This is a must visit if you are at the conference, and not for lunch but dinner, the later the better.  The staff is rude, to put it mildly, and there is paper being thrown, live bands, it is great fun.  I do not recommend this if you have thin skin and/or have had too much to drink as it could easily upset you if you are not in the mood!
• Bondi - For those homesick Aussie's - you know who you are...
• Jolt n' Joes - This is a sports bar.
• Red Pearl Kitchen - This is a contemporary Asian restaurant.  I haven't been to this one so I couldn't really say how it is.

Make sure you don't throw out your wrist band, it is attached to the party description in your new bag!

What's Happening Now at MMS

Registration is open, the hands on labs are about to start, the technology preview tracks are full and ready to start.  The expo hall opens tonight at 5:30 last year they had food and drink for free on the expo floor.  The myITforum.com booth is #629 in the back left corner if you come in the door in Hall D.
