I am not sitting on the balcony at the Marriott next to the San Diego Convention Center.  I registered earlier as a vendor with myITforum.com in order to get some equipment up to the booth, what a nightmare that was.  But here is the first SWAG report, it will be a little vague as I don't want to give everything away and but the bag looks to be pretty nice it is a roll away laptop bag and it is pretty roomie.  The contents are a water bottle, a tee shirt, a notepad and pen, several CD's of software, your wrist band for the party with details of what the party is, and it is cooler and bigger than last year, a ton of inserts from the sponsors, including myITforum.com, and for the finale - the date and location of MMS 2008.  See I told you I would be vague, no party details, no location details, not even what CD's you get.

Don't forget the SMS Expert get together is tonight at 7 over at the Omni's restaurant.

There is no free wireless at the Marriott, you can connect at your desk in the room but it is $10 a day.  I can't recall the last time I was at a hotel that didn't have free wireless.

Regards,

Anthony

I read this blog daily and it's probably my favorite SMS related blog.  I'm a 2nd year MMS alum and hope I run into you during MMS.

I too can't believe the hotel charges for Internet Access. It seems like the low-rent hotels give it away (Holiday Inn, Wyndham, etc) but the high-rent hotels know they can ding you for it.

I'm downloading the program here:

out of protest to use my cell for access for the duration of the conference. For $10 a day I'll put up with it being slow.

Missed your party last night. Hope to run into you later.
