Vote for MMS 2007 BOF Topics!

March 09, 2007

Time to Vote for Birds-of-a-Feather Topics!

As a registered attendee of MMS 2007 you now have an opportunity to vote for the Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) topics you would like to see at this year’s event.

This year we will be hosting BOF sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday evening after breakout sessions are finished for the day. These informal community sessions allow attendees to meet and discuss a topic of common interest peer-to-peer or with Microsoft or Industry experts, covering questions on specific areas of management.

To ensure that the topics hosted at BOF sessions reflect the needs of all MMS 2007 attendees, we are asking you to vote for topic proposals or add your own proposal. On Monday night we will close the BOF Survey and the most commonly requested topics and moderators will then be scheduled for the BOF session slots and published to the CommNet web site.

Voting for Birds-of-a-Feather Topics

To register your vote for the Birds-of-a-Feather session topics:

· Connect to the MMS 2007 CommNet by logging in on this page: http://www.mms2007.com/ws/default.aspx

· Select “Birds of a Feather Survey” in the left hand navigation pane

· You may either:

o Select from the dropdown list of most commonly requested topics so far

or

o Enter a new topic proposal, including rough abstract and optionally a speaker/moderator name for the session

· Press Submit to enter your vote

The selected BOF topics will be published to the MMS web site by end of day Tue, March 13th, allowing you to add them to your schedule via the “Session Scheduler” option.  Note that spaces are limited at these sessions, so early booking is advised.

Time to book your Hands-on Lab sessions at MMS

The Lab sessions at MMS are always popular, especially those on Monday which do not compete with Breakout sessions.  Several of the lab sessions on Monday are already fully booked.  We therefore encourage you to log into the MMS 2007 CommNet site and book the lab sessions you would most like to attend as soon as possible using the “Session Scheduler” tool.

Lab topics are again being offered in two formats at this year’s MMS. Four rooms are dedicated to Instructor-led sessions where the lab owner provides an introduction to the lab content and leads attendees through the lab manual. Teo additional lab arteas adjacent to CommNet in Hall D are dedicated to Self-paced sessions where attendees can complete their choice of lab topics without an instructor but with product lab proctor support.

Registered attendees may currently reserve places in up to 3 lab sessions during the event. One week before the event opens you may book an additional 2 lab sessions and once the event opens any number of lab slots may be reserved.  More information about the Hands-on Labs at the event is also available on the Hands-on Lab page at the event site.

We look forward to seeing you at MMS 2007 in San Diego this March.

Best wishes
