The SMS 2003 ITMU Revision 3 was originally released on November 2, 2006 and provides support for a new offline catalog format that is provided by Microsoft and Windows Update. This catalog is used by the Windows Update Agent. The latest version of ITMU also includes performance improvements and setup changes to create collection memberships that target Windows Vista client computers. This update is required for customers to continue to receive the correct software update information for the Windows Update and Microsoft Update catalog.
