On Dec 14th about 10:15 PM PT, I finished my last class at the University of Redlands!  On Jan 2nd I start a new job with a new company!!!  More on that later.  But over the past two years I have been getting up at 4 AM almost every day to work on school work, or my blog, or work – work, which ever was the most behind.  I would also drink a very large cup of coffee, which was rather new for me.  I would occasionally have a cup of coffee, but usually no more than once a month.  Well this morning is my first day of getting up at 4 AM since then, I have been getting up at five instead, and it is my fourth day without coffee.  I had a rather bad headache that began Sunday afternoon and went through yesterday, I almost didn’t go to work.  But that seems to have passed now.  I don’t like the idea of being addicted to something and I didn’t really care for the way coffee made me think, it was a much more linear way of thinking.  But the biggest reason was the new job, I did not want to find myself tied to Starbucks or the coffee in free continental breakfast area of a hotel.  And now was that perfect time to quit, I am done with school (for now), and I have a couple weeks before my new job starts.  So I am now coffee free!  Not that I won’t drink coffee ever again, but at least now I am not addicted to it!  Yes, I am a quitter!

Regards and Happy Holidays!

Give Green tea a try.  It still has a little caffiene (but not enough to get addicted to), but the health benefits are enormous.

An Apple in the morning will wake you up more than any cup of coffee or even a Mountain Dew.
