If you have noticed that your SMS database increases in size after you install SMS 2003 SP2 then this KB article might be for you.  If your SMS client cannot discover the site code when the SLP is running on 2003 SP1, then this might be your solution.  And if all your missing patches are not getting installed, this may resolve your issues, well your SMS issues.
