Don’t forget to stop by our forum, it’s open for discussion!

You are the SMS administrator for myITforum.com. The SMS hierarchy consists of a single SMS 2.0 SP4 site.
The servers on the company network run Windows Server 2003, and all the client computers run Windows XP
Professional. The network contains a SQL Server 2000 computer that stores SMS site database. SQL Server
database replication is enabled for the SMS 2003 site database(?). You are planning to upgrade the existing SMS
2.0 SP4 site to the SMS 2003 SP1 site.

You want to test the SMS site database upgrade. You create a copy of the SMS site database that was created
by using the SMS backup task. You restore the copy of the database on a test computer running SQL Server
2000 and run the Setup.exe /testdbupgrade <database name> command. The database upgrade test fails.
What should you do to ensure that the database upgrade test is run successfully?

A.  Disable publishing on the SMS site database, and back up the SMS site database again.

B.  Upgrade the SQL Server 2000 computer to SQL Server 2000 SP4.

C.  Install an SMS site on the test computer.

D.  Create a backup of the SMS site database by using the SQL Server Enterprise Manager.

Please send me an email with your answer in the subject line.

Here are the answers:

19 = B

20 = C

21 = E

22 = A & C

23 = C & E

There seems to be a lot of people quitting at this stage which makes it rather wide open for those who are sticking it out.  Since Ned is no longer participating it leaves it open to almost anyone who is playing along.
