My birthday party was at Sea World this year, from what I heard last year it was at Circus Circus and it was a flop. My wife, daughter, and I had a great time, the food was good, I didn’t see anyone that was too drunk, and we won so many stuffed animals that I needed a garbage bag to carry them all; a good time was had by all.  The Sea World staff was very friendly and helpful and the fact that I did not have to pay for parking, dinner, or anything was great.  Nice job Microsoft!  It’s not every birthday that I get an entire theme park closed down and my own fireworks show.

Addendum:  During the fireworks show there was a man wearing a black t-shirt that said “If I threw a stick would you leave?” was apparently a little unhappy with his experience at the conference and Sea World.  My wife heard him complaining about how it was a waste of money coming to MMS, he was going to recommend that his employer not send anyone in the future, on and on and on…as he stood next to my beautiful wife watching the FREE fireworks show, fortunately my daughter and I were standing on the grass so we missed out on the language.  As my wife has pointed out, why would you stand there and watch the fireworks and complain about the whole thing?  The buses were waiting parked and waiting. 

I have been to a number of conferences over the years and I have to say that this was the best one I have been too and this closing party was the best.  Nice job Microsoft, see yeah next year at MMS 2007.
