That’s because I got the name of the file wrong.  See http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrosd/thread/bf4b9f5b-0d65-4668-8eb6-167aa6262e9d for the right answer.  (For those who don’t recognize the name, Kerwin is a developer on the ConfigMgr team who wrote much of the OSD code J)

and it was a bit misleading because it is not in tsconfig.ini, at least not the one I found.

Someone, who shall remain unnamed, leaked the setting a while back, but I can’t seem to find it. Here is the post where Niehaus mentions that it’s unsupported:

Thanks for the info Tim – unfortunately, I don’t see that info L I only see the customhook info there.

For fun, I tried adding Automated=True to TSMBootstrap, but no dice L

Hey Greg,

Not supported but you should be able to modify the tsconfig.ini in the boot image and set something like Automated = Yes.  There is an entry in there that says no by default.  Sorry for the vagueness.  I don’t have a boot image handy right now.

This has been kicked around a few times last year (see links below) – but I thought I’d bring it back up and see if anyone has better ideas on this now. . .

I want to skip the welcome screen for OSD Bare metal.  Modifying TSMBootStrap takes care of the welcome screen, but will only continue successfully IF the system receives a Mandatory assignment to run.  If you have no mandatory assignment, you receive this:

Any suggestions?? (besides Auto-IT and Sendkeys please J)

Background:

I have a preexecution .hta that I am running, and based on certain conditions will determine if it should add a system to a collection that has a mandatory advert.  Other conditions may not, so that it will prompt for input, and then go from there. . (and at that time may not have a mandatory assignment, and prompt user to select a task sequence).

Thanks,

Greg
