Subject: RE: [mssms] RE: ConfigMgr + MDT OSD - 80070047 error on image capture?
Just tried it again running under VMware to see if it was an issue with the VM. Same problem still persists. The server I’m trying to dump the WIM to is a Server 2003 system so there should be no connection limit.
Any ideas on where I can look for more info on this?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Are you capturing to a workstation? That’s what you would see to a workstation when trying to have more than 10 connections. With servers, you should normally not see such a message.

D’oh! That’s what I was afraid the answer was…
Anyway, I guess no one here has experienced this error right before an OSD image capture?
80070047 = “No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept.”

Bumpity bump bump
While I’m at it – anyone know how to restart a task sequence from the point of failure, or is that not possible?

This error occurs as soon as the post-install section completes and tries to capture the image.
Trace32 shows it as “No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept.”
Anyone ever seen this occur before? The account has full control over the share it is trying to dump the image to, and the share is located on a Windows 2008 server so there should be no connection limits…
ConfigMgr is 2007 SP1 + MDT 2008 + R2 running on Windows Server 2008 x64 Standard. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
