Subject: RE: [mssms] SQL Reporting services in a Named Instance

This is usually not a big deal when SQL is local, but when the ConfigMgr
DB is clustered, AND other apps are setup to use the default SRS, I'd
think you'd need a named instance or standalone SRS point.

But then again, having a default and named instances of SRS on the same
cluster, which one wins the http://servername/Reports;
http://Servername/ReportsServer URL? Also, there is only one SQL
configuration services wizard, which instance configures it for
credentials. So then you'd have to look to a standalone SRS point.

If the SQl cluster doesn't have other apps using SRS, then it's yours.

Subject: [mssms] SQL Reporting services in a Named Instance

I see a few references on the web about not using a named instance with
remote SQL reporting services point. Can anyone either confirm or deny
that it is an issue?

TIA,

Todd
