FWIW, this is exactly why we recently re-instrumented our Power & Patch Mgmt Pack suite of t products to allow deployment without a dependency on SMS/CfgMgr... allows the full benefits of our WakeUp solution along with the power management from NightWatchman. The new NWM Console makes admin and cfg of power schemes (implement/manage the OS based schemes) as well as power policies (shut down; wake up for maintenance window; shut down again; and wake back up with “Alarm clock” in the morning)...

This is getting a lot of take-up in the municipal and educational spaces in particular as well as upgrade interest from existing customers.

No,

I want to know if they use SMS/SCCM, LANDesk, Tivoli,…..

I have looked at Google. I see specific states DEP uses SMS but I would like a consensus. We use LANDesk here. LANDesk cannot turn machines back on without the VPro chip. SMS can as long as it is enabled in the BIOS. The differences in the tools can dictate how closely we can follow what they are doing.

Does anyone know what deployment tool the Department of Environmental Protection is using?

I work for the state of Florida. We are trying to model or green initiative goals based on what they are doing but the people making us follow have no clue what deployment tool they are using. Could make a big difference in what tasks we can complete.
