A new Breakout session has been added to the Systems Management track at MMS 2011. The session is a deep dive on the new software delivery features in ConfigMgr 2012 and the details are as follows:

Session Code:

BA19

Title:

Configuration Manager 2012: Software Delivery Advanced Topics and Troubleshooting

Time:

Thu, March 24th, 4:00pm

Room:

Lagoon EFKL

Abstract:

In the year since we released Beta 1 of ConfigMgr 2012, our customers have been becoming increasingly familiar with the improvements we’ve made in deploying software, as well as distributing content. Those capabilities are being further enhanced by new features in Beta 2 around deploying and distributing software. With that functionality comes more “advanced” needs around the usage and troubleshooting of these new features.
This session will provide the first REALLY deep look into some of these advanced features and how you can use them in the real world. More specifically, this session will show you a more advanced look at the components in software delivery and how the hand-offs occur between them in normal software delivery. Consider it a pre-cursor SuperFlow for software deployment!
The session will also detail all the new log files that these components use and how you can use these them (with, or without Notepad) to troubleshoot common failures. Finally, we’ll be going through some of the most common failure scenarios and showing you how you can troubleshoot them as you put ConfigMgr 2012 Beta 2 into your lab environments.
